Algeria and Chad have agreed to cooperate

Algeria and Chad have signed more than 30 agreements that focus on economic cooperation in the energy sector.
The agreements cover a wide range of industries, including communications, public works, animal welfare, air transport, and higher education. The two countries also signed an interagency convention on cooperation in combating terrorism.
The most important measures relate to hydrocarbons. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Algeria's state energy firm Sonatrach and the Chad's hydrocarbons company (SHT) for the construction of an oil refinery capable of producing up to 20,000 barrels of oil per day.
Other memoranda pave the way for the establishment of Algerian enterprises in Chad in sectors such as mining and renewable energy.
