Africa's economy is expected to grow by 4% in 2026

According to the UN report on the world economic situation and prospects for 2026, the African economy will grow by a record 4% in the coming year.
East Africa stands out as the most dynamic sub-region, with projected growth of 5.8% in 2026, driven in particular by strong economic performance from countries such as Ethiopia and Kenya.
The indicators of other subregions remain more modest on the continent, but quite high by world standards: West Africa - 4.4%, North Africa - 4.1%, Central Africa - 3.0% and South Africa - 2.0%.
