Afreximbank's profit in 2026 exceeded a quarter of a billion dollars
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) summed up the financial results for the 1st quarter of 2026. According to the bank's official financial report for the period ended March 31, 2026, net profit amounted to $268.9 million, which is $53.5 million more than a year earlier.
The bank's loan portfolio grew to $42 billion, and net interest income reached $510 million, reflecting increased trade finance activities in Africa and the Caribbean, despite difficult global conditions.
