Afreximbank to support trade in Chad

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has provided the Government of Chad with the largest ever financing in the amount of 110 million euros in local currency equivalent to support the country's economic development.
The agreement was signed at Afreximbank's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, by Afreximbank President George Elombi and Chad's Minister of State for Finance Tahir Hamid Nguilin.
The financing will be used to develop trade, increase the sustainability of the economy and support the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects planned by the Government of Chad for 2026.
The transformations in Chad, including economic reforms, agricultural expansion and sustainable investments in the oil sector, have received international recognition: the World Bank has raised Chad's economic growth forecast for 2026 to 5.2%.
