AFROFEST 2026 will be held in Russia

From August 3 to 23, 2026, the VI International Festival of African Peoples' Culture AFROFEST 2026 will be held in Russia, which is a large-scale event in the field of public diplomacy, education, humanitarian and business cooperation between Russia and African countries. The main venues are located in the cities of Moscow and Kaluga.
The uniqueness of the International Festival lies in creating a large-scale platform for dialogue between leading Russian and African experts, and its program provides participants with various formats of interaction, from historical, cultural and educational to business and recreational. This year, AFROFEST 2026 is being held in advance of the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit, which will take place later in Moscow.
The festival has been traditionally held in Russia since 2019. The main organizers are the House of Africa, the Assembly of Peoples of the World, and the Library of Foreign Literature. The festival is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Government of Moscow, the Administration of the Kaluga Region, and the embassies of African countries in Russia. For the first time this year, Africa Consulting International Company will be the event's partner.
