Africa is the 2nd continent on Earth in area with a great amount of natural resources.  There are more than 50 countries with fast growing economies and 1.5 bln population here. Africa today offers big opportunities for business and investment.

A youth education program has been launched in Africa

 

 

The World Bank has launched the SET4Jobs youth education program in seven countries of Eastern and Southern Africa. Young Africans will receive professional training in such industries as agribusiness, energy, healthcare, tourism, and manufacturing.

 

It is planned that 18 million people will receive new specialities by 2034. The program will cost $972 million.

 

Seven countries are participating in the project: the Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, Tanzania and Zambia.

 

Youth unemployment is a serious problem in a number of countries in the region. The World Bank estimates that about 6.5 million young people in Eastern and Southern Africa, including 3.6 million women, have neither education nor work.
