A new piggery centre has been opened in Ghana

A modern piggery production centre worth 2.86 million Ghanaian cedi ($255,000), built by the mining company AngloGold Ashanti, has been opened in the Obuasi municipality in Ghana.
The facility comprises 20 modern pig pens, office and storage facilities, foundation breeding stock, and a fully solar-powered energy system.
Of the total investment, about 1.49 million Ghanaian sedis were spent on construction, and 1.37 million Ghanaian sedis were spent on equipment, breeding cattle, veterinary services, advanced training of farmers and provision of animal feed for six months.
