46 companies to participate in the tender in Sudan
Applications for participation in the tender for the maintenance of the Gezira Scheme irrigation canal system in the 2026-2027 season have been accepted in Sudan. According to the results of the selection, 46 companies were admitted to participate in the auction.
The winner of the tender will have to carry out work to restore the irrigation system, remove silt and weeds.
The Gezira Scheme is one of the largest irrigation projects in the world. The total area of irrigated land is about 8,800 square kilometers. The Gezira circuit is located in the Sudanese state of Gezira, southeast of the confluence of the Blue and White Nile rivers in the city of Khartoum.
